Questions we hear on nearly every call
First-time callers tend to raise the same short list, so we’ve laid the answers out plainly below. Yours not covered? Send a quote request and Diane has a clear answer for you that day.
Local rates in brief
- $140/hr sets two movers and the truck on the job — wardrobe boxes, shrink-wrap, dollies and pads are all baked into that number already.
- $190/hr adds a third mover for heavier loads and the church or stairwell carries where the wait drags.
- On the interstate side, the number is a binding flat price put in writing ahead of load-out — nobody surprises you with a fuel charge once you reach the far door.
Licensing and coverage
Our US DOT and MC authority covers the interstate hauls; in-state work rides on our Pennsylvania PUC household-goods authority. At no charge, each shipment starts on the federal released-value tier of sixty cents per pound per article; pay to upgrade and full-value coverage insures the load as high as $1,000,000. Should you ever need to file a claim, you have a nine-month window running from the day we unload.
