Every job we take, door to door
Whether it’s a downtown York row home, a Dover farmhouse, or a full four-bedroom heading out I-83, all eight lines lean on a single W-2 crew and one rule — the flat rate hits paper first. Behind each link sits the rate, an inclusions rundown, and the particular York-area headaches we plan our way around.
Eight lines, one crew
- Local moves — two- and three-hand crews on the clock, right across the York area. two- and three-hand rates of $140/hr and $190/hr, with pads, dollies and blankets already included.
- Long-distance moves — a binding interstate price set on paper, out along US-30 and I-83 to reach Baltimore, Harrisburg and Philadelphia. The crew that fills the truck is the crew waiting when the ramp drops at the other end.
- Residential moves — York row homes, Red Lion houses, and Dover farmhouses down the gravel lanes.
- Apartment and condo moves — borough walk-ups and elevator buildings that need a COI filed and the lift held.
- Full-pack service — hands who bring the boxes in, unroll the paper, load up the wardrobe cartons, and set every one aboard the truck.
- Piano and specialty — grands, uprights, consoles, organs, gun safes, and church-sanctuary carries. Our heritage and Curtis’s specialty.
- Short-term storage — two closings that won’t line up? Week to week, the load stays put in our gated, alarmed Delta Rd warehouse.
- Commercial and office moves — shops and retail units, medical and dental offices, and office suites large or small.
How pricing works
Around town it’s a clock job, and once that opening hour is past we don’t tack on a minute we didn’t work. The minute a load crosses a state line, we swap to a written flat total — agreed and signed before a single box rides the truck. The unusual stuff — walking a grand up, threading an organ through a sanctuary door, shuttling down a gravel lane — lands on the estimate line by line up front, so move day holds no surprises.
